Start your collection with the first three coins in the planned ten coin series. The 2016 Queen's Beast Silver Lion coin is the first 2 oz Silver British Bullion coin from the Royal Mint. It features a majestic Lion. The crowned golden lion of England, which has been one of the supporters of the Royal Arms since the accession of James I in 1603.

It is supporting a shield showing the Arms of the United Kingdom as they have been since Queen Victoria came to the throne in 1837. In the first and last quarters of the shield are the lions of England. The lion and treasure of Scotland appear in the second, and the harp of Ireland is in the third.

The second coin of the series, the 2017 Queen's Beast Silver Griffin. Features a majestic griffin clutching a shield with it claws as its wings spread to the sky.

The griffin of Edward III Queen's Beast is an ancient mythical beast. It was considered a beneficent creature, signifying courage and strength combined with guardianship, vigilance, swiftness and keen vision. It was closely associated with Edward III who engraved it on his private seal. The shield shows the Round Tower of Windsor Castle, where Edward III was born, with the Royal Standard flying from the turret, enclosed by two branches of oak surmounted by the royal crown.

The series' third coin features the red dragon of Wales, which was used in the Royal Arms in the 16th century. The Red Dragon of Cadwallader is the emblem on the national flag of Wales. The red dragon gained popularity due to its supposed link to King Arthur and other Celtic leaders.

During the reigns of the Tudor monarchs, the red dragon was used as a supporter in the English Crown's coat of arms. At the coronation of Her Majesty The Queen, ten heraldic beasts stood guard. The Queens Beasts, sculpted by James Woodford RA for the coronation ceremony held in Westminster Abbey in 1953, stand six feet tall. The heraldic creatures symbolized the various strands of royal ancestry brought together in a young woman about to be crowned queen. Each proud beast, used as a heraldic badge by generations that went before her, was inspired by the Kings Beasts of Henry VIII that still line the bridge over the moat at his Hampton Court Palace.
